What would you when faced with the worst? - Poetry

The audio-video visual of my original composition "What would you do when faced with the worst?" as part of the channel "Pearls of Wisdom"

What do we do when faced with the worst?

A thought that usually never crosses our mind first.

In happier times, we enjoy or spend time whining

About things we lost inspite of working hard trying

To fulfill our goals or desires deep within

Not realising to have the gratitude for the moment we live in

What really happens when we are faced with the worst

Was never a formal topic discussed or conversed

This was usually for individual introspection

Considered a depressing, uninteresting self-conversation

Times have changed

We as world together faced

The disastrous pandemic ripping off lives

Situations Unpredictable, what more in store lies

As we see, but cannot help our family members in need

In hospitals, not knowing what condition in they might be

Whether quarantined at home or hospital

Individuals, families worrying about survival

Social distancing is the norm

Having friends, family, yet one alone faces the storm

Shortage of medications and resources

Media reports of deaths through its sources

All sorts of horrifying yet distressing thoughts one is now immersed

What would happen if the pandemic hits anyone of us first?

Then, yes, we would be faced with the worst.

Policies, rules are drawn out

Whether affected by the disease or not

Fear in its clutches, has us caught

We realize, everyone is alone

As one faces circumstances with its effects unknown

So it is, for every such problem of life

Whether a disease, trauma or strife

What to do, when you are un-able?

When the situation is uncontrollable?

The mantra is; solve it or accept it

By staying grounded with calm, while you face it.

But while in situation now

Can one think of a resolve, how?

When Winds of confusion, agitation diminish

The lights of Peace, Love, happiness we wish

Affirm positive notes, pass on healing vibes

To the mind which translates the belief it imbibes

Sending signals to our physical self

while improving aura healing oneself

Does this work, one may think

Positive belief is better than to accept to sink

Remember, Keep the light of Hope always lit

As even tough times will one day see the exit!

Cherish life with family, as you live today,

Thank God to have survived the day

To the worst you will not succumb,

But believe you will overcome

You are more than a survivor

A hero who will live to create a better tomorrow.

Greetings 2019

Had written this poem at the start of the new year. Somehow, I could not publish it here at that time. So here's greetings to 2019!

A year with moments cherished that has now passed by,
Moments instrumental that let you glorify,
In your achievements and learnings thereby,

Time has not just gone by,
But left the silt in the form of learnings you might,
Take it along with you in your new year
And pursue your vision with courage and cheer!!

A heartfelt Gift

One of the very rare occasions,
when I compose a poem,
simply without reason,
to offer a casual gift,
just for the fun of it! 😁
So lost in the digital world,
here is my hand for your habit to hold.
Did you guess the clue I just told?
Here's your gift, lo behold!
As I gift,
I realise it,
that the poet in me,
comes to life you see,
a surprise I would dedicate to thee,
to my husband,
and best friend!
As we grow,
so do we sow,
our love with roots to eternity,
bliss and beauty.
A heartfelt gift, for the spirits to lift.
Enjoy the surprise,
as we together evolve in love and rise!!

Way of Life

Time is precious,
But life is georgeous.

Mirth is present,
With sadness as an assistant

What we can infer,
Is that Life is a mixture,

Of happy and sad moments,
One cherishes in the present.

You need not be depressed,
For hard moments you've suppressed

For, If you are keen,
On what you had been,

You'll get the gist,
In your list,

That, the hardest moments,
Gave you most valuable lessons !

Chakravyuh mukti

I made one mistake,
Realised it late,
Its correction,
Led to confusion, aggression and separation.

All done for the good,
But I remain misunderstood,
As the other was not able to see,
The good,
As I could.

So I stay in the bad books of thee,
But so I let it be.
As its all done with an intention,
For good, peace but stays unmentioned.

Why was it so
That I let it go
Unexplained, incomplete?
I really didnt intend to mistreat.
Sometimes words cannot explain it all,
Time unfolds to solve it once and for all.

This put me into a chakra,
Of Karma

And now time exchanged the role,
Where I now fell into a hole,
That had people with heart of evil,
Heartaches in store to reveal

I suffered then and I suffered now,
Left alone but do not know how.
I would separate the evil,
From associated people.

I tried to show them light,
Or eradicating the dark in my fight,
Unrealised when I slipped into the bad,
As I was so insecure, hurt and sad.

Then, as I introspected,
And listened and waited,
For help from God, my guide,
That resides as my inner voice,
On the path of good to get me back,
And so with God, I converted the setback,
Into a stronger comeback!

By now I had travelled long in years,
Alone I was but had faced my fears,
The innocence in me saved and guarded,
By strong intellect and awareness added.

When put into garbage,
Remember, in it you must not age.
Clean it or keep yourself away,
Or you may get dirty in it some day.

So is it in life,
Garbage could be people, situations that might,
Make you one of them,
If, not careful then.

Do good even if ridiculed,
For the gift of inner peace is the most beautiful.

And so peaceful was this gift of my new home,
In it I experienced bliss more and more.
A house made from bricks, cement and tiles,
That could make it my home built with love and life.

The once evil associations gradually dispelled,
Cycle of karma kept me happy and well,
And brought me out of the hole,
That I was once forced to fall.

Thankful, I pray to Almighty,
To always strip away all evil, ignorant people and the sorts,
From my life, once and for all.

Let me now come to you O God,
Be free from Karmic cycle with its good and odds,
Travelling the path of goodwill and delight,
Permit me to merge in your divine light!
